The Luxton Community Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Luxton Capital. We believe a well-built home is more than four walls — it's stability, dignity, and a place to put down roots. Our work puts that belief into action for the neighbors who need it most.
Our current initiative, Home for a Hero, puts that mission into practice — thanking the veterans who served us with a home of their own.
The Mission
A home, gifted to a hero who earned it
This Fall 2026, Luxton will donate a brand-new home to a wounded veteran and their family — mortgage-free. It's one of the most meaningful ways we know to say thank you: a place to heal, to gather, and to build a future.
Your donation directly supports the completion of this home — paint, fixtures, landscaping — and turns this house into a home, ready for a hero to walk through the door.

From candidate review to award day
Step 1
December 2025
Candidate interviews begin
The Department of Veterans Affairs refers eligible wounded combat veterans in our community.
Our nonprofit board interviews each candidate and their family to understand their story and needs.
The board manages tax implications and paperwork so the gift comes with no financial burden.
Step 2
Early 2026
Home build finishes
Crews complete final interior finishes, landscaping, and any accessibility features the family needs.
Community donations fund these finishing touches from the ground up.
The recipient is confirmed but kept private until closer to Award Day.
Step 3
Fall 2026 · date TBD
Award Day
The veteran and family selected to receive the home are announced.
A full community celebration with fire trucks, police, and City & County leaders.
Neighbors gather to hand over the keys and welcome a hero home.
